My Dear Catharine

The Gov is absent I am playing Governor in his stead. The weather is warm[?] very fair I presume if it continues so the boys will get all the corn put away this week. I want the boys to have the pigs disposed of and sent away at once they are to thick to thrive well and if not separated I fear they will die. Send the money to Prof James for the grapes[?]. The fall work should be hurried now as fast as possible Has Rheam[?] sent a man to work at the shed yet, You must have a place for his men to sleep and you must also board them. Nick could sleep with Harley You could then have room for three men in Petes room

There is no special news to day up to this time. You must not forget to write me how are moving on[?]. Has Harley seen Walls about Corn and also Geddes We must try and get a good lot of corn for [?] feed since it will be high in the spring and it will take a great deal of it to fatten all the steers. Affectionately Yours
