My Dear Catharine

This morning was cold but the day bids to be fair. I suppose you are having a party cleaning I must again remind you that I want to be asked to the moving and you should give me timely notice. I now doubt whether I can get off before Saturday I am kept a little closer than I like I told the Gov the other day that I would have moving to do He appears to be unwilling to act on any thing unless I am present. I presume I must buy a new Carpet for the Hall and perhaps for the Sitting & Dining Rooms What do you say about it

Affectionately Yours
